The RHS Girls track and field team finished their dual meet season last night with a win at home over Brecksville!  The Minutemen saw strong performances from athletes in key events to take the victory.

Kaylynn Waldron put together a dominant night in the throwing rings taking 1st place in both shot and Discus.  Tori Parish was right behind with more great throws to collect 2nd in each of these events.  Lauren DiSalvo and Daphne Roque placed 2nd and 3rd in pole vault, Rosa Parsons took 2nd in high jump, and Hanna Freeman, Alizya Hunter and Josie Schiesswhol swept the long jump!

On the track, Alizya Hunter and Aubrey McMurray started off scoring with 1st and 2nd place in the 100 hurdles.  Leah Valentine stepped up next with a win in the 100 meter dash.  The 4 x 200 relay of Fox, Fuller, Bender and Keenan ran their best effort of the season to take first and so did the 4 x 100 of Fuller, DiSalvo, Valentine and Keenan.  Allison Schultz placed 2nd in the 400 while Aubrey McMurray and Molly Wolfe placed 2nd and 3rd in the 300 hurdles.  Ella Slaby earned an impressive win and a new PR in the 800, and Caroline Wilson placed 1st in the 200!

The Team will compete next at the Norwayne Invitational on Friday and the JV Suburban League Championships on Saturday.  Keep up the great work!
