This past Saturday, January 10th, 2026, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Uniontown to take part in the 2026 Lake Middle School Blue Streaks Invitational Tournament. This is a very prestigious middle school wrestling tournament with outstanding wrestling programs from all over northeast Ohio.At the end of the tournament, our wrestlers had competed in 39 individual matches against wrestlers from the 15 other teams that had come to wrestle at the Lake Athletic Complex. Individually, 12 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere, and 4 of our 12 wrestlers finished in the top six in his respective weight class. Our first place CHAMPION wrestlers for REVERE were: Jackson Patton at 92 lbs.. Patton is currently 19 - 6 on the season with 12 pins.Jackson Halsey at 172 lbs.. On Wednesday afternoon, January 7th, our middle school wrestling team hosted their first home competition of the season as they took on neighborhood rival Copley Middle School and Cuyahoga Falls Middle School in two Suburban League duals. The first dual of the afternoon was against Copley Middle School.Revere lost the first two weight classes, but then proceeded to win in the next six weight classes; taking a 36 - 11 lead.Copley came back to win three in a row, but Revere finished with two consecutive pins by the dynamic duo of Levi Shenigo and Jackson Halsey. On Saturday, December 20th, our first day of Winter Break, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to the Lake High School Athletic Complex to compete in the 2025 Lake Middle School Christmas Duals. Our 11 wrestlers were involved in 41 matches over over the course of the 5 hours we were competing at Lake.Overall, we are beginning to see significant improvement from many of our wrestlers.In one of the most exciting matches of the day, Teng Xiong won in double over time, 9 - 8, as he was able to escape from his opponent with roughly 8 seconds left in the match !!!We had several wrestlers finish the day with 2 or more wins:Jason Friedt was 2 - 2 at 86 lbs.Jackson Patton was 2 - 2 at 98 lbs.Joshua Joykutty was 2 - 2 at 134 lbs.Levi Shenigo was 2 - 2 at 160 lbs.Phoenix Zelinski was 3 - 1 at 128 lbs.Jackson Halsey was 4 - 0 at 172 lbs.For his efforts this weekend, Jackson Halsey was chosen as our Wrestler of the Week !!! On Thursday, December 11th, our middle school wrestling team traveled to Highland High School to take on Stanton Middle School and Tallmadge Middle School in two Suburban League duals. The first dual of the afternoon was against Tallmadge Middle School. Our Minutemen were victorious in 8 out of 14 weight classes against the Tallmadge wrestlers. On Thursday, December 18th, our middle school wrestling team traveled to Woodridge High School to take on Woodridge Middle School and Bedford Middle School in two non-league duals.The first dual of the afternoon was against Woodridge Middle School. This past Saturday, December 13th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Madison High School to compete in the 2025 Madison Middle School Tournament. Our young team of wrestlers had an opportunity to compete against fifteen (15) other schools over the course of six hours. Individually, 10 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere. After 40 individual matches, we had three of our varsity wrestlers who finished the day with a winning record !!! The three varsity wrestlers were: Jackson Patton was 4 - 1, with 3 pins. This past Saturday, December 6th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy High School to compete in the 2025 CVCA Middle School Duals. Our young team of wrestlers had an opportunity to compete against five other schools over the course of six hours. Individually, 12 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere. After 56 individual matches, we had four of our varsity wrestlers who finished the day with a winning record !!! The varsity girls tennis team lost a very close match last night to Walsh 2-3. Scoring for Revere was the first doubles team of Bridget Steiner and Ilyana Leenheer and 2nd singles player Sadhvi Kurra. Gabi Iler lost a tough match at 1st singles in 3 sets The team is now 14-3 and the next match is Thursday night against Brunswick at home, celebrating our seniors at 4:30!

The Girls Tennis Team placed 2nd in the Suburban League Tournament on Saturday losing to Highland by a few points. Singles players Sadhvi Kurra placed 2nd in 2nd singles and Ananya Jayaraman placed 2nd in 3rd singles. The first doubles team of Bridget Steiner and Ilyana Leenheer placed 2nd. The Second doubles team of Aleena Siedlecki and Rasika Veerappan also scored with a 2nd place finish! Our first singles player Gabi Iler placed 1st in first singles! Congratulations to the Girls on their wins and placing 2nd in the league!

This year we are hosting the 2025 Volley for the Cure match on our home court. We will be battling Barberton on Thursday, October 2nd with JV at 6pm and Varsity to follow at 7pm. Please come out and support or Lady Minutemen volleyball team for a good cause. Our girls will be selling shirts during lunch periods starting Monday, September 22nd through Tuesday September 30th. They will also be throwing out free shirts to fans in attendance. Be sure to get there early to have the chance to be one of those lucky fans! Take a look at our flyer for other activities we have planned for the night. Look forward to seeing you in the stands. Let's pack the gym with pink!

The Varsity Boys golf team beat Copley by a 7 shot margin at home last Wednesday at Fairlawn Country Club. They were led by Senior Jack Skidmore, with a round of 2 over par 37. The other counting scores were posted by Tommy Kinder, Andrew Ash, and a combination of Carter Chihill, Jack Baird & Langston Ford. We then followed up that win by traveling to Copley on Tuesday and pulled out a tightly contested match for the 153 to 155 victory, and completed the season sweep. The team was led by Senior Carter Chihill and his 2 over par 37 with Jack Skidmore, Andrew Ash, and Tommy Kinder getting in on the scoring.
