The boys team swam in the D2 meet on Friday, February 10, 2023. Scoring for the boys were: 7th place 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay (Brody Bard, Peter Shockey, Tate Johnson and Weyland Franklyn) 11th place 500 free Bard 12th place 200 free Bard 13th place 100 backstroke Owen Willaman and 100 breaststroke Johnson 15th place 50 free and 100 free Franklyn Congrats to all the swimmers on the boys team as they ALL recorded a new PR!!! Bard, Johnson, Franklyn and the relays all qualified to move onto districts this Friday, February 17, 2023.

Revere Swim Teams wrapped up their regular season on Saturday night with a double dual versus Aurora and Nordonia. The teams will now focus on the OHSAA sectionals in two weeks.  The boys ended the season with a 5-6 record (3-4 in SL American conference) by falling to both Nordonia 58-111 and Aurora 63-106. Tate Johnson, Weyland Franklyn  and the 400 free relay of Brody Bard, Peter Shockey, Tate Johnson and Weyland Franklyn all scored 1st place finishes. Congrats to the following boys that swam a new personal record (or two): Peter Shockey, John Shockey, Mohammed Essa, Jacob Ferrara, Owen Willaman and Will Sveda.  Thank you to all the staff, students and administrators that came out to support our swimmers this school year!

Minutemen Lose: 68.00 - 98.00
On the eve of the last night of finals, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the Revere Minuteman swimmers took on the Rough Riders of Kent.  The boys team battled but fell short losing 68-98. Kudos to Tate Johnson and Brody Bard for bringing home the only 1st place finishes for the boys. Congrats to the following boys who recorded more PRs during the most exhausting part of the season - Owen Willaman, Will Sveda, John Shockey, Daniel Nemer, Ben Mauldin and Mohammed Essa.  The Minuteman swimmers will wrap-up their regular season next Saturday, Jan 28th at 7 pm. Come support your seniors in their last home meet.

Minutemen Lose: 74.00 - 94.00
The boys team fought hard but came up short losing 74-94. Thanks to Aiden Willaman for sticking with us for this meet and to Tate Johnson for taking the challenge in the fly and beating the competition with a new 6 sec PR. First place finishes were won by 200 medley relay (Brody Bard, Peter Shockey, Aiden Willaman and Johnson) and Johnson in 2 individual events. Congrats to the boys that scored a new best time or more: Mohammed Essa, Owen Willaman, Will Sveda, John Shockey, Ben Mauldin, Johnson, and Daniel Nemer.

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, your Revere Swim teams competed in the Suburban League Championship meet (American conference).  The boys team placed 5th overall (pending diving). Scoring for the boys team were: 2nd place 50 free Weyland Franklyn and 400 free relay of Brody Bard, Owen Willaman, Tate Johnson and Franklyn 3rd place 200 free relay (Aiden Willaman, Peter Shockey, Johnson and Franklyn) 4th place 200 free Bard, 100 free Franklyn 5th place breaststroke Johnson and 200 medley relay O Willaman, P Shockey, A Willaman and Will Sveda) 6th place IM Johnson  7th place 500 Bard, breaststroke P Shockey 8th place butterfly A Willaman 9th place 100 free P Shockey 10th place 50 free A Willaman 12th place IM O Willaman 14th place in 200 free and 500 Daniel Nemer 15th place in 200 free Sveda, 50 free Mohammed Essa and breaststroke John Shockey Every boy on the team including those listed above and Ben Mauldin and Jacob Ferrara (with a 15 sec time cut) recorded at least one new personal best! Great swims boys! The teams hope you will support them this Wednesday as they face their rival Copley Indians at 5:30 at Copley High School.

Minutemen Lose: 73.00 - 95.00
The boys took on the Highland Hornets and got stung by some superfast boys, falling 73-95. The only first place finish was from senior Weyland Franklyn in the 50 free, proving that it takes a team to compete in meets! Congrats to the following boys that swam a new personal best time- Owen Willaman, Tate Johnson, Peter Shockey, Will Sveda, Mohammed Essa, Jacob Ferrara, Ben Mauldin and all three boys swimming the 500 (Daniel Nemer, Mauldin and Ferrara.) Revere swimmers compete on Saturday morning at the UAkron Natatorium in the Suburban League Champ (American Division) meet.  Make plans now to support your swimmers on Wednesday, 1/11 as they take on TTDS Xopley, 5:30 start time!

On Friday, December 30, the team participated in the Cloverleaf Stampede Invitational. The boys came in 12th out of 24 teams. Scoring for the team were: 6th place Medley Relay- Brody Bard, Peter Shockey, Tate Johnson, and Weyland Franklyn 4th place IM- Johnson 8th place 50 free- Franklyn 9th place 100 free- Franklyn 10th place 200 free relay- Bard, Shockey, Johnson and Franklyn 12th place breaststroke- Johnson Fantastic swims with new personal records came from Johnson, Will Sveda, John Shockey, Daniel Nemer and Mohammed Essa. The boys continue with SL dual meet action tonight, taking on the Highland Hornets  at 5 pm at the Welly!

Minutemen Win: 111.00 - 25.00
On Wednesday, December 21, the team hosted a double dual with STVM and the Elms. The boys team came away with a win over STVM 111 to 25, increasing their record to 5-1. Brody Bard, Tate Johnson, William Sveda, John Shockey, Daniel Nemer and the 3 relay teams (which included Bard, Peter Shockey, Aidan Willaman, Mohammed Essa, Johnson, Sveda, Owen Willaman, and Ben Mauldin) all posted first place finishes. New personal bests were achieved by Johnson, Sveda, Essa, and Nemer.

On Saturday, 14 Revere swimmers participated in the Viking Invitational at CSU. Three swimmers (Abby DiSalvo, Kayla Smith, and Weyland Franklyn) qualified for finals. At finals Weyland swam the 100 free and came in 25th, Kayla swam the 50 free and 100 back coming in 29th and 11th and Abby swam the 200 free and 100 fly and placed 16th and 10th. Weyland had an exciting meet: tied for the last qualifying spot, he had to do a swim off (video attached) and recorded a new pr every time he swam that event!  The following swimmers recorded one or more PRs: seniors Abby DiSalvo and Weyland Franklyn,  Juniors Peter Shockey and Emery Banks, sophomores Aiden Willaman and Brody Bard, and freshman Owen Willaman.  Their next meet is Wed at 4:30 at home (the Welly at the corner of 18 and Crystal Lake Rd)- the boys will take on StVM, the girls will take on the Elms. Boys Varsity Swimming vs. Walsh Jesuit High School - 12-15-22

Minutemen Lose: 70.00 - 98.00
Thursday, December 15,  the RHS Minuteman participated in a double dual meet with Walsh Jesuit and Canton Central Catholic.  The boys team beat CCC 110-44 but suffered their first loss of the season to Walsh 70-98 and are now 4-1 in dual meet action. Against Walsh, the following boys scored first place: Tate Johnson and Weyland Franklyn and the 200 (Aiden Willaman, Brody Bard, Johnson and Franklyn) and 400 (Johnson, Bard, Owen Willaman and Franklyn) free relays. Versus CCC, a few more boys posted a first place finish- the medley team of the Willaman brothers, Peter Shockey and Will Sveda and in individual events, Owen Willaman, Aiden Willaman and Brody Bard.  Congrats to the following Minutemen for swimming new PRs at this meet:junior Mohammed Essa; sophomores Ben Mauldin, and Will Sveda; and freshmen Daniel Nemer,  John Shockey,  and Owen Willaman.

Minutemen Win: 113.00 - 36.00
Yesterday, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, the Revere Swimming Minutemen took on the Barberton Magic at their home pool at the corner of 18 and Crystal Lake Rd. and came out victorious! Our boys are now 3-0 in the SL American Conference with a 113-36 win over the Magic. Coming in 1st place for the boys are Aiden Willaman, Weyland Franklyn, Tate Johnson, Brody Bard and the three relays (Bard, Peter Shockey, Johnson and Mohammed Essa in 200 medley; Franklyn, John Shockey, his brother Peter, and Aiden Willaman in the 200 free; and Owen Willaman, Essa, Daniel Nemer and Johnson in the 400 free.) A few of the boys posted new personal bests including seniors Weyland Franklyn and Tate Johnson, and sophomore Brody Bard and freshman Owen Willaman.  The Minutemen are back in the pool tonight at 6 pm at UAkron versus Walsh Jesuit and Canton Central Catholic. Swim fast!

Minutemen Win: 97.00 - 65.00
Last night, Wednesday, December 7, the Boys Swim Team beat Tallmadge 97 to 65 and are now 2-0. Congrats to Weyland Franklyn, Owen Willaman, Brody Bard, Tate Johnson and Peter Shockey on their 1st place finishes in individual events. All 3 boys relay teams also came in first (Bard, Shockey, Willaman and Franklyn in medley relay; Aiden Willaman, Bard, Johnson and Franklyn in 200 free relay and Johnson, Will Sveda and both Willaman brothers in the 400 free relay.  More best times were accomplished by freshman Owen Willaman and John Shockey, sophomore Will Sveda, junior Mohammed Essa, and senior Weyland Franklyn. The next meet for the swim teams is Wednesday, December 14th versus Barberton.

The Revere swim teams competed this Saturday at the Hilltopper Invite against 600 swimmers from 30 schools.  For the boys team, Brody Bard, Peter Shockey and Weyland Franklyn placed in the top 16. 7 of the 9 boys at the meet recorded new personal best times including freshman Daniel Nemer and John Shockey, sophomores Brody Bard, Ben Mauldin and Will Sveda, junior Mohammed Essa and senior Jacob Ferrara. The swimmers next meet is Wednesday at 5:30 versus Tallmadge at the Kohl Family YMCA.

Minutemen Win: 92.00 - 80.00
Congratulations to the Minutemen swimmers. Last night both teams took home the win in season opener Suburban League meets vs the Cuyahoga Falls Tigersharks.  The boys team came out ahead with a score of 92-80. First place finishers for the boys were seniors Weyland Franklyn and Tate Johnson, and the 200 free relay of freshman John Shockey, sophomore Aiden Willaman, Johnson and Franklyn and the 400 free relay of Franklyn, Johnson, freshman Owen Willaman and junior Peter Shockey.  With 12 events per team, these wins came as a result of everyone stepping up and finding a way to score for the team! Congrats to the following swimmers who recorded a new personal best time at this first meet: freshman John Shockey, Kajsa Martynyuk (in 3 events), Daniel Nemer, and Owen Willaman; sophomores Will Sveda, Keke Davis, Ben Mauldin (in 2 events), and Camryn Bir; and juniors Kayla Smith, Emery Banks, Mohammed Essa and Emmy Schmidt.  Next up is the Hilltopper Invite on Saturday! Go Minutemen!
