Congratulations to the Minutemen swimmers. Last night both teams took home the win in season opener Suburban League meets vs the Cuyahoga Falls Tigersharks. 

The boys team came out ahead with a score of 92-80. First place finishers for the boys were seniors Weyland Franklyn and Tate Johnson, and the 200 free relay of freshman John Shockey, sophomore Aiden Willaman, Johnson and Franklyn and the 400 free relay of Franklyn, Johnson, freshman Owen Willaman and junior Peter Shockey. 

With 12 events per team, these wins came as a result of everyone stepping up and finding a way to score for the team!

Congrats to the following swimmers who recorded a new personal best time at this first meet: freshman John Shockey, Kajsa Martynyuk (in 3 events), Daniel Nemer, and Owen Willaman; sophomores Will Sveda, Keke Davis, Ben Mauldin (in 2 events), and Camryn Bir; and juniors Kayla Smith, Emery Banks, Mohammed Essa and Emmy Schmidt.
