The High School Girls Soccer Team advanced to the District final with a 3-0 victory over Norton on Monday evening. On a soggy evening, the girls were controlling the game but were initially unable to make the breakthrough. That changed towards the end of the first half when Anna Clarke swung in a corner from the right hand side and Lilly Hamblin was left unmarked in the area to open the scoring. The girls kept up the pressure and extended the lead when Anna Clarke took a short corner to Teagan Johnston. Teagan returned the ball to Anna who fired in a cross that Morgan Fee headed into the goal. It was the same combination of Clarke and Fee that led to the third goal when Clarke put another corner into the Norton area and Fee once again turned the ball into the goal. The girls will now meet Buckeye in the District final on Thursday.
