The Varsity Girls Tennis Team lost a tough match to Hudson last night 1-4.  Winning at 1st doubles in straight sets was Morgan Dobos and Maddie Kavenagh.  Mollie Gray played well at 3rd singles as well as the 2nd doubles team of Lilly Shenigo and Sherya Gupta with close  1st sets.  The team finished their regular season 17-4.  Today they will compete in the sectional tournament in Strongsville.  Congratulations on a great season and good luck at sectionals! The Varsity Girls Tennis team lost a close match to Hawken Upper School tonight 2-3.  This was the quarterfinals of the team tournament for Northeast Ohio Division II.  The team had previously defeated St. Vincent St. Mary and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin to advance. Winning for Revere tonight were singles players Morgan Dobos  and Maddie Kavenagh.  The match was competitive on all courts and the team played well overall.  The varsity team is now 17-3 and will face Hudson at home on Monday and Tuesday they will participate in the Sectional tournament at Strongsville.   Stats:  Revere 2    Hawken 3 Singles:  Dobos(R) d. The  Varsity Girls Tennis team participated in the Suburban League Tournament on Saturday, September 25th at Highland High School.  Players participating were Morgan Dobos, Maddie Kavenagh, Tarini Gowda, Lilly Shenigo and Kimberly Wong, Sherya Gupta and Mollie Gray.  Morgan and Maddie each defeated all of their opponents to place 1st in their positions (1st and 2nd singles)  Tarini  was a 3rd place finisher, while the team of Lilly and Kimmie placed 2nd losing only to Highland in the finals.  The 2nd doubles team of Sherya Gupta and Mollie Gray lost in the 2nd round to Aurora but won in the 3rd round to Tallmadge placing 3rd.  Congratulations to all the girls for a great win at 2nd place overall!

The Girls won their last Suburban League Match of the season against Cuyahoga Falls.  Due to weather, the match was played at Cuyahoga Falls.  Winners were Morgan Dobos, Maddie Kavenagh, and Sydney McDonald at singles and Lilly Shenigo and Kimmie Wong at 1st doubles while Mollie Gray and Shreya Gupta won at 2nd doubles.  Tarini Gowda won her exhibition match in singles 8-0.  The team is now 6-1 in the league and will compete in the Suburban League Tournament on Saturday at Highland.  Good Luck! The Revere Girls Tennis team won the 2nd round of the Coaches Tournament defeating Notre Dame Cathedral Latin 3-2.  Morgan Dobos lost a close match at 1st singles with  two tiebreakers against Elena Fleming.  Maddie Kavenagh won her singles match in two sets while Tarini Gowda lost a close match to Brooke Begovic. Winning for Revere were singles players Morgan Dobos, Maddie Kavenagh, and Tarini Gowda.  Doubles wins were captured by Lilly Shenigo and partner Kimmie Wong; also Shreya Gupta and partner Mollie Gray.  The 3rd doubles team of Paige Hudnall and Sydney McDonald also defeated their opponents in a quick no loss match!  The team will play Kent Roosevelt tomorrow at Kent for another Suburban League matchup at 5:00 p.m.  Great win today! The Girls Varsity Tennis Team defeated Hoban tonight 5-0. The weather was cooler with moments of drizzly rain and lots of wind on the hill at Hoban courts with rainbows in the skies.  The girls had a competitive match winning  on all courts.  Big wins by 1st singles Morgan Dobos against Haley Slay and Maddie Kavenagh at 2nd singles against sophomore Kate Wenzlik.  Tarini Gowda won her match at 3rd singles in two sets and the 1st doubles team of Lilly Shenigo and Kimmie Wong defeated their opponents in two sets as well.  The 2nd doubles team of Shreya Gupta and Mollie Gray had a slow start but came back in the 2nd and 3rd sets to win big!  Sydney McDonald and Diya Nuka won 3rd doubles 6-0, 6-0.!  Good win ladies!  The team will face Copley at home on Monday in their 4th Suburban League Matc Stats Revere 5  Hoban 0 Singles:  Dobos (R) d. The Revere Girls Varsity Team lost a close match to rival Highland tonight 2-3.  Winning at 1st singles was Morgan Dobos with 6-1, (opponent retired in 2nd set).  Maddie Kavenagh won her match in a 0-6, 6-4, 6-0 decisive victory.  Tarini Gowda lost a tough match at 3rd singles in 2 sets. The 1st and 2nd doubles teams lost tough  matches but the 3rd doubles team had great competition and defeated their opponents in a tiebreaker! The Girls Varsity Tennis team defeated St. Vincent St. Mary tonight 5-0.  This was the team's 2nd match due to 3 rainouts and the girls came out with a big win at 5-0.  Winning in straight sets were singles players Morgan Dobos, Maddie Kavenagh and Tarini Gowda.  The doubles teams of Mollie Gray and Kimmie Wong,  Shreya Gupta and Lilly Shenigo, and Sydney McDonald and Paige Hudnall won their matches in 2 sets giving up only 2 games in a 1st set.  This match was the 1st round of the Coaches' Tournament and next they will face the winner of CVCA and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin.  The team is now 2-0 and will play Wadsworth away at 4:00 tomorrow.
