This Saturday the RHS Girls Track and Field Team competed at the Walsh Warrior Relays against 22 Schools in their largest meet of the season!  

The team found great balance, earning points throughout the sprints, hurdles, distance and field events!  Kayla Kephart led the way by jumping 5 feet, 2 inches to win the girls high jump and help her team of Rosa Parsons and Kate Fuller place third overall in the high jump relay.  The Shuttle Hurdles team of Josie Schiesswohl, Nina Verner, Aliza Hunter and Tessa Milicia put together a great performance to also place 3rd overall! Keira Lang placed 4th in the 3200 meter run, Leah Valentine placed 6th in the 200, Aleni Bender placed 7th in the 400, and Caroline Wilson placed 7th in the 800!  

Other top 8 relays included the 4th place Girls 4 x 1600 meter relay of Caroline Wilson, Aleni Bender, Keira Lang and Ellie Meech, the 4th place Distance Medley of Allyson Schultz, Kayla Kephart, Caroline Wilson and Ellie Meech, the 5th place discus relay team of Kaylynn Waldron, Maggie Zurn and Tori Parish, the 6th place Shot Put Relay of Kaylynn Waldron, Tori Parish and Cassie Keaton, the 8th place 4 x 100 relay of Leah Valentine, Charlotte Keenan, Olivia Kapitan and Chloe Grimm, and the 8th place sprint medley team of Olivia Kapitan, Ally Meixner, Chloe Grimm and Leah Valentine.  These were great results against a huge field of competitors!

The team looks to continue their great efforts as they take on rival Copley this Wednesday at Copley.  Be sure to wish them good luck and come out to cheer on The Minutemen!
