The Revere varsity softball team scored 15 runs on 15 hits as the Minutemen took the season series from the rival Copley Indians by a score of 15-6.
Leading the way for Revere was JR OF Claire Brokloff who had 3 hits, 2 stolen bases, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI on the day. JR OF Katie Azzolina went 2-3 with 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Azzolina also made 2 diving catches to help put out Copley rallies. SO OF Audrey York had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI's while SO 1B Adison Novosel had 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. FR 2B Jeanne Hujer had 2 hits and 3 runs scored. JR C Courtenay Amentini had a double and Lauren Skidmore, Shannon Appel and Jennica Leverman also had hits for Revere.
SO P Shannon Appel got the win, pitching 7 innings, striking out 9 and allowing just 2 walks.
Revere travels to Kent on Monday, May 13. Game time is 4:30 PM.
