The varsity girls tennis team defeated St Vincent St Mary High school tonight 5-0 in their first round of the OTC (Ohio Tennis Coaches) team tournament. Morgan Dobos defeated Andi McKnight 6-2, 6-1 at 1st singles.  Maddie Kavenagh captured 2nd singles defeating Allie Tomeszewski 6-1, 6-0. Nina Lazbin was victorious at 3rd singles defeating Kirstin Pier 6-2, 6-1.  The doubles team of Jenny Fan and Katie Kinder sealed a victory at 1st doubles in a 3rd set tiebreaker against seniors Maura O’Connor and Lucy Chmura.  At 2nd doubles, Tarini Gowda and Lux DeMoss won 6-3, 6-3 over opponents Ellen Dietrich and Issy Davis.  The girls will face Hawken in the next round of the tournament.
