The High School Girls Soccer Team produced an excellent performance to win 2-1 at Aurora on Tuesday evening. The game ended a stretch of 3 games in 4 days for the girls, and they needed all their reserves of energy to withstand an energetic opening from Aurora. Having weathered the storm, the girls began to play their way into the game, and an outstanding move led to them taking the lead. Anna Clarke fed Bianca Milovancev down the right. Milovancev raced to the the goal line and produced a pinpoint cross for Taylor Kenna to pass into the goal. Revere were now playing with renewed enthusiasm and ended the half on top. It didn't take long into the second half for Revere to double their advantage. Anna Clarke this time found Katarina Tsarouhas, and her resulting cross was acrobatically played toward goal by Taylor Kenna, whose touch on the ball beat the Aurora goalkeeper for her, and Revere's, second goal of the game. Aurora began to apply more pressure, but the Revere defense stood strong until the referee decided to award Aurora a penalty for a seemingly innocuous challenge by Teagan Johnston. Aurora scored the penalty, but were unable to find an equalizer as Revere expertly saw out the game.
