Revere High School Girls Soccer Team opened their season with a 5-0 victory at Barberton. Morgan Fee opened the scoring midway through the first half after Taylor Kenna hit the post following a great run through the Barberton defense. Kenna also had a hand in the second goal as the Barberton defense failed to clear her free kick allowing Quinn Downing to smash home from close range. The scoreline remained 2-0 to the Minutemen at half time, but that changed early in the second half. Another run from Taylor Kenna resulted in her being tripped in the box for a penalty. Kenna picked herself up and smashed the kick past the Barberton goalkeeper. Shortly afterwards, Anna Clarke added her name to the score sheet when Teagan Johnston found her with a quick throw in. Clarke powered a shot from 25 yards out over the Barberton goalkeeper and into the goal for the fourth goal of the game. Revere weren't done, however, as Lilly Hamblin slotted in the final goal of the game in the last minute following good work from Hailey Janke. Revere host Field on Saturday in their next game.
