Revere High School Girls Soccer Team won their 5th game of the season thanks to an early goal from Adison Novosel. Revere controlled most of the opening exchanges but had to mindful of the pace of Stow on the counter attack. Revere took the lead when a through ball from Emily Albert found Adison Novosel on the right hand side. Novosel took a touch and fired a high shot over the Stow goalkeeper and into the far corner of the goal. Revere continued to push in search of a second goal but could not find a way to increase their advantage and the first half ended with Revere leading 1-0. Revere were hoping to keep up the pressure in the second half but their play lacked the intensity of the first half and they found themselves on the back foot for much of the half. Having thrown away the lead on Saturday against Westlake, Revere were indebted to goalkeeper Olivia Papouras for holding onto a late, low shot across the goal with a Stow forward bearing in for any loose ball. Revere managed to hold onto the lead and see out the remaining minutes to claim their 5th win of the season.
