Revere traveled to Buckeye on another wet day for soccer and fell to their third defeat of the season. Buckeye started the stronger of the two teams and opened the scoring off a corner after only 43 seconds. Things got worse for Revere after only 6 minutes when another corner found a Buckeye defender in the area and she easily found the Revere net with a free header. Revere were stunned but started to settle and attempt to find a way back into the game, which came courtesy of a penalty after Amanda Nelson was fouled in the area and Adison Novosel easily beat the Buckeye goalkeeper from the penalty spot. Revere were now playing with more confidence and were matching the physical approach from Buckeye, but Buckeye restored their 2 goal lead when a ball played through the heart of the Revere defense found a Buckeye forward and she managed to beat Revere goalkeeper Olivia Papouras with a low shot. The second half was much better for Revere and it looked like they might find a way back into the game only for Buckeye to add a fourth goal with about 9 minutes remaining. Revere battled away to the end, but ultimately their efforts went unrewarded as they fell to a final score of 4-1. Revere play again on Wednesday evening when they host Copley.
