The Revere High School Girls Soccer team won their second game of the season with a 4-0 home victory over Field. With a strong wind blowing into their faces, Revere struggled to open up a stubborn opposition defense in the first half. Field almost struck the first blow with the last kick of the half when a free kick from just outside the area was fired at the Revere goal only for goalkeeper Olivia Papouras to tip it onto the crossbar and away to safety. Revere improved after the break and started to use the wind to their advantage. The deadlock was broken 8 minutes into the 2nd half when Amanda Nelson delivered an inviting cross which Kendall Mosley directed into the Field goal. Revere doubled their advantage 15 minutes into the 2nd half when a corner by Julia Effinger was met at the far post by Adison Novosel who gave the Field goalkeeper no chance from a few yards out. Revere were now passing the ball around confidently and added to their advantage when Anna Clarke fired a shot from 25 yards that the Field goalkeeper was unable to handle and the ball ended up in the net. Revere completed the scoring when Kaitlyn Bodjanac laid the ball back and Bianca Milovancev calmly placed the ball wide of the goalkeeper and inside the far post. With the win, Revere improved their record on the season to 2-1-0, and the girls are next in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Barberton for their first Suburban League contest of the season.
