The Revere High School Girls soccer team won their home opener to the 2018 season with  a 3- 0 victory over Woodridge on Monday evening. Revere had the majority of possession during the opening exchanges but struggled to create any meaningful chances. That changed midway through the first half when Kaitlyn Bodjanac broke free down the right and pulled the ball back to Kendall Mosley. Mosley took a touch before calmly placing a shot past the Woodridge goalkeeper and into the side of the net. Revere kept up the pressure and doubled their advantage towards the end of the first half. An explosive run into the box by Taylor Kenna was followed by a great cross to the back post where Sydney Padgett was able to pass the ball into the empty net. The 2nd half was much like the first, with Revere continuing to attack, but unable to add to their score until Julia Effinger played a ball over the top and into the Woodridge area. Claire Brokloff controlled the pass impeccably before slotting the ball past the advancing Woodridge goalkeeper and into the back of the net. Revere saw out the game to even their record for the season at 1-1 after their 1-0 loss at Jackson on Saturday. The girl's next game is on Saturday when they host Field at 3:00pm.
