Boys Middle School Wrestling vs. Woodridge Middle School - 1-11-25

On Saturday, January 11th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Woodridge High School to compete in the 2025 Woodridge Middle School Duals. With only three wrestlers competing due to illness and other obligations our wrestling team finished the tournament with five losses on the day.
With these five matches, our overall team dual meet record stands at 2 - 17 on the season and 2 - 6 in the Suburban League.
Revere started off with a match against the eventual first place team, Streetsboro. Streetsboro prevailed by a score of 90 - 0.
Revere suffered a second round loss to Rootstown. The final team score was 36 - 18.
Revere finished their third match losing to Maple Heights by one point. The final score was 18 - 17.
Revere took on Woodridge in the fourth round and Woodridge cruised to a 66 - 12 victory.
Revere finished the day with a match against Brunswick Middle School. Unfortunately, Revere had too many holes in their lineup and lost by a final score: 72 - 6.
There were a couple bright spots for Revere at the end of the tournament. Individually, two out of our three wrestlers finished the day with winning records.
Shiloh Edwards, at 86 lbs., finished the day with a record of 4 - 2 with three pins.
Jackson Patton, at 92 lbs., finished the day with a record of 4 - 1 with two pins and a technical fall.
For his efforts this past week, Shiloh Edwards was chosen as our Wrestler of the Week !!! Shiloh was 6 - 2 with 5 pins between the suburban duals on Wednesday and the tournament. Overall, Shiloh has a record of 16 - 10 with 12 pins.
On Wednesday, January 15th, our wrestlers will travel to Highland to compete in a Suburban League dual meet with the Hornets. All the action is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm.
If you see one of our RMS wrestlers in class, or in the hallway, wish him luck against the Hornet's competition !!!
