Boys Middle School Wrestling vs. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy - 12-7-24

On Saturday, December 7th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy High School to compete in the 2024 CVCA Middle School Duals. At the end of the tournament, our wrestling team finished with a record of one win and three losses on the day, and placed 13th out of 14 teams.
Revere started out the 2024-2025 season with a loss to Madison by a score of 54 - 12.
Revere took on Nordonia in the second round and lost by a score of 42 - 30. In the third round, Revere notched its first win by beating Kent by a score of 24 - 18. Revere ended the day with its third loss. This time to the host team, CVCA. The final team score was 27 - 22.
Individually, 6 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere. Four of our varsity wrestlers finished the day with a winning record!!!
The four varsity wrestlers were:
Shiloh Edwards was 3 - 2, with 2 pins, at 86 lbs.
Jackson Patton was 5 - 0, with 2 pins and a major decision, at 92 lbs.
Levi Shenigo was 3 - 1, with 3 pins, at 150 lbs.
Billy Tidwell was 3 - 2, at 160 lbs.
Logan Blewitt was 3 - 3, with 3 pins at 116 lbs. One of his losses occurred when he moved up to compete at 122 lbs.
Best takedown of the tournament went to Logan Blewitt; who hit two "fireman's carry change to a double" on two separate opponents. One lead to a very quick pin!!!
For his efforts this past weekend, Jackson Patton was chosen as our Wrestler of the Week !!!
This Wednesday, December 11th, our wrestlers will host Tallmadge and Kent Roosevelt. All the action is scheduled to begin around 5:00pm in the lower gym. Make a plan to stop by and cheer on your favorite wrestler!!
