The Freshmen football team held off the Smithies of Smithville for their first win of the season! Quarterback Aiden Weiland tossed a pair of touchdowns in the victory. Ryan Shimek hauled in a 35 yard touchdown from Weiland in the first quarter. The other touchdown was a 18 yard pass to Aiden Palmer who caught it over two defenders and rumbled into the endzone. The defense was led by Colton Carmichael and Palmer up front. Great linebacker play from Shimek and Kaelen Klein. The secondary was led by Landon Weinert's key interception and Cole Brownlee's huge 3rd down stop late in 4th quarter. Great TEAM effort by the young Minutemen!
