RMS - Wrestling News - 2-10-22...

This past Sunday, February 6th, ten of our middle school wrestlers traveled to Brecksville High School to compete in the Junior High State Qualifier.  

Our Minutemen battled through some very tough brackets.  At the end of the day, three of our wrestlers qualified for the state tournament, and one made it as an alternate.

  Our state qualifiers are:  Dom Samartano, who placed 4th at 138 lbs. Nathaniel Steiger, who placed 3rd at 209 lbs., and Dylan Pawlak, who placed 5th at 249 lbs.

These three individuals will compete March 19th and 20th at the Covelli Center in Youngstown.  Each of them will compete in a bracket filled with 48 wrestlers from around the State of Ohio. All of them will be hoping to become middle school state champions !!!

Mario Brienza finished in 7th place at 120 lbs. and is a state alternate at his weight.  

If one of the top six in his weight class cannot compete in March, then Mario will take that wrestlers place at the state tournament.

If you see one of these middle school wrestlers in class, or in the hallway, congratulate him on qualifying for the state tournament !!!   GO  MINUTEMEN  !!!
