Revere started out wrestling the team that eventually won the tournament. Louisville prevailed by a score of 61 - 18.
Revere suffered its second loss of the day to Austintown. The final team score was 70 - 24.
Revere finished with a victory in their third match; defeating North Canton by a score of 48 - 42.
Revere took on Glen Oak in the fourth round and lost a close battle by a score of 43 - 42.

RMS - Wrestling News - 1-5-22...
On Saturday, December 18th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to the Lake High School Athletic Complex to compete in the 2021 Lake Middle School Christmas Duals.
At the end of the tournament, our wrestling team finished with a record of two wins and three losses on the day, and placed 5th out of 10 teams. With these five matches, our overall team dual meet record stands at 7 - 6 on the season and 3 - 1 in the Suburban League.

Revere finished the day with a solid victory over the host team, Lake Middle School. The final score: 48 - 35.
Individually, 14 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere, and of the 14 wrestlers there were 12 that were able to compete in five matches in the course of the day. One of our varsity wrestlers finished the day undefeated !!!

Nathaniel Steiger was 5 - 0, with 4 pins, at 205 lbs.
One other varsity wrestler suffered only one loss in our five matches:
Dom Samartano at 142 lbs.
Three other varsity wrestlers had three wins in five matches:
Robbie Akins at 92 lbs., Mario Brienza at 122 lbs., and Ved Desai at 128 lbs..
Most exciting match of the tournament had be Max Berlin's match with Glen Oak. Max leventually lost in overtime, 10 - 8, but he had made a come back from a 6 - 2 deficit to tie the match with seconds remaining.
For his efforts on this weekend before break, Nathaniel Steiger was chosen as our Wrestler of the Week !!! Nate was 7 - 0 with 4 pins during the week before we went on winter break. Overall, he is 15 - 3 on the season.
Today, Wednesday, January 5th, our wrestlers will travel to Wadsworth Middle School. All the action is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.
