Revere started out strong; posting a win over Stow by a score of 60 - 36. Revere suffered its first loss of the day to Mayfield. The final team score was 54 - 36. Our Minutemen made a gallant attempt to close a huge Mayfield lead, but they came up short in their efforts. Revere took on Streetsboro in the third round and won a close battle by a score of 48 - 40. Revere finished the day with a tough loss to a very solid Strongsville team. The final score: 48 - 42.

This past Saturday, December 4th, the Revere Middle School wrestling team traveled to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy High School to compete in the 2021 CVCA Middle School Duals.
At the end of the tournament, our wrestling team finished with a record of two wins and two losses on the day, and placed 6th out of 14 teams.

Individually, 18 wrestlers had an opportunity to represent Revere, and of the 18 wrestlers there were 13 that were able to compete in at least four matches in the course of the day.

Max Berlin was 4 - 0, with 3 pins, at 134 lbs.
Dom Samartano was 4 - 0, with 4 pins, at 142 lbs.
Nathaniel Steiger was 4 - 0, with 3 pins, at 245 lbs.
Three other varsity wrestlers suffered only one loss in our four matches:
Mario Brienza at 122 lbs.
R.J. Baker at 128 lbs..
Brody Smith at 160 lbs.
Best takedown of the tournament has to go to Dylan Pawlak; who hit a perfect fireman's carry on his Cuyahoga Falls opponent that led to an immediate pin !!!
For his efforts on this past weekend, was Dominic Samartano was chosen as our Wrestler of the Week !!! Dom is one of our captains for the 2021-2022 season and definitely led by example in our season opener.
Today, Wednesday, December 8th, our wrestlers will travel to Barberton Middle School to take on Barberton and Copley. All the action is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. If you see one of our RMS wrestlers in class, or in the hallway, wish him luck against today's competition !!!
