On Saturday Sept 12, Revere girls cross country team lost a hard fought battle to the Highland Hornets.  Fresh off of running Revere's 2nd fastest 5k of all time, Freshman Aleni Bender grabbed her second victory against a strong field; she took first with a time of 19:40!   Sophomore Megan Diulus placed third overall with another great run finishing at 20:32, while Ruth Anand, Evelyn Tucker, and Ally Meixner rounded out the team's top 5 with great performances!  

In the Junior Varsity race,  Kate Wilson ran an excellent 5k debut to take 2nd place!  Kayla Beard ran a big personal best to place 3rd, while Laila Bennett, Ella Leigh, and Sophia Moyer all ran strong races to help lead the team to a victory in the JV race!  Great job Girls! 

This Saturday the team travels to rival Copley for another Suburban League Dual.  Be sure to wish them good luck!  Thank you to our parents and our exceptional hosts at Highland for making this race a blast!
