The RHS Indoor track team competed in their 2nd League meet at the Spire Institute on Friday with excellent results.  

8th grader Aleni Bender took 1st place in 1600 meters with a spectacular finish while Ellie Meech led wire to wire to win the 3200.  Alanna Ramsey led the high school girls placers with a 2nd place finish in the shot put.  Caroline Gauge finished 4th in the 60 meter dash and 5th in the long jump,  Jan Benedetti placed 5th in the 200, Allison Rozak placed 5th in the Weight Throw, Rachel Dewitt placed 7th in the 200, Katie Kinder placed 8th in the 400, and the 4 x 800 meter relay team of Keri Tomechko, Ruth Anand, Avery Brobbey and Alexa Furukawa placed 3rd.  

On the boys side of competition seniors Andy Feltman and Michael McKee led the way with first place finishes.  Andy won the 1600 meter rum and also placed 2nd in the 3200 while Michael Mckee placed 1st in the 200 and 5th in the 60.  Sam Fisher and Cameron Penzenik rounded out the top three in the 200 meters taking 2nd and third place respectively while Cameron placed 7th in the 60 and Sam took 8th.  Naveen Elliott placed 2nd in the 800 meter run with Alexander Landis finishing in 5th. Ian Matias capped off the minutemen placing with an 8th place finish in the weight throw.
