Staff Bios.

Michael Paxton

Head Coach, Girls Lacrosse

Girls Varsity Lacrosse

Coach Paxton has been involved with lacrosse for the past eight years, coaching boys youth lacrosse before being called upon to head the girls program for the Revere Youth Lacrosse club.  Most recently, Coach Paxton served as the Head Coach at St. Vincent-St. Mary, where he led the girls to their most successful season in school history, finishing with a record of 5-12. Prior to that, Coach Paxton was the Interim Head Coach at Revere, leading the team to a 14-4 record in 2016.  Coach Paxton holds a Level II coaching certification from US Lacrosse, and is a US Lacrosse certified official.

Coach Paxton grew up in Stow and attended St. Vincent – St. Mary High School and Stow High School, before pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Akron.

Coach Paxton served his country through military service for over 20 years in the United States Army completing assignments in Ohio, North Carolina, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.  Some of his many military assignments included Battalion Scout Platoon Leader, Tank Platoon Leader, and command of Special Operations Tactical Psychological Operations Detachment and Company.  He retired with the rank of Major in 2009.

Coach Paxton is a Process Engineer with Summa Health in Akron, where he works to enhance both patient and employee experience by removing waste from system processes.

Michael resides in Copley with his wife, Karen, and three children, Mickey, Sophie and Olivia.
